\nI know your face but not the name.
\nShare with me from whence you came,
\nAnd I’ll name you a fellow seeker.
\nPast perchance have we met before?
\nPast romance, kith, kin, or vow to save the last dance.
\nPerchance quite ponderously, strange as it seems,
\nYou appear a forgotten memory from a million footsteps ago,
\nAnd I tread lightly, I’ll have you know!<\/p>\n
Wayward traveler I met along the way…
\nAs night creeps in upon the day, tell me your tale!
\nI’ll write you a psalm to carry us beyond the grave,
\nAnd sing gently along…
\nAs slumberous demons and sleepers awake to share that gentle gaze,
\nFrom four familiar eyes, two in each face,
\nThat follow neither path nor plotted fate.
\nIn memory of yesterday, let’s re-invent our today,
\nAnd tomorrow wont seem quite so grave.
\nStrange as it feels, have we once shared the same path?
\nAnd forgotten our last encounter a million crossroads ago…<\/p>\n
Dear wayward traveler I met standing in the way…
\nWayworn we meet, share a grin or a frown,
\nSome are lost, some deceased.
\nI’ll propose to you a toast, in memory of past defeats.
\nAnd until our paths cross again,
\nI’ll remember your face, but not the name,
\nAs names dare do no justice to us.
