{"id":3412,"date":"2015-08-11T01:42:54","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T08:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nathalielawhead.com\/candybox\/?p=3412"},"modified":"2015-08-11T01:42:54","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T08:42:54","slug":"electric-love-potato-lets-plays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nathalielawhead.com\/candybox\/electric-love-potato-lets-plays","title":{"rendered":"Electric Love Potato &#8211; Let\u2019s Play\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently someone on <a href=\"http:\/\/gamejolt.com\" target=\"_blank\">GameJolt<\/a> made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LRzoKdc2554&#038;app=desktop\" target=\"_blank\">this youtube video<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/gamejolt.com\/games\/other\/electric-love-potato\/75231\/\" target=\"_blank\">Electric Love Potato<\/a>.<br \/>\nThere have been a few now, but I laughed so much I feel inclined to make a blog post of it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LRzoKdc2554&#038;app=desktop\" target=\"_blank\">A POTATO IS FLIRTING WITH ME!? Electric Love Potato | Potato Dating Simulator by Mickell Pickell<\/a> (I also like the title. Potato Dating Simulator is a great idea.)<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LRzoKdc2554\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nFor those interested, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC-9oSAHKYJlUZT4ZnVzHFaA\" target=\"_blank\">the other videos on this users channel<\/a> are equally as cheerful. I like them. They\u2019re fun and upbeat.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the sweetest thing!<br \/>\nI so love how people have loved the potato&#8230; Wow, taken out of context that can sound crazy.<\/p>\n<p>Some other let\u2019s plays\u2026 while I\u2019m here spreading the Electric Love\u2122\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eqdJWtsqBTA\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nGYENOx2FNU\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L-MZonI1S7E\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s interesting that two of those are DEMON POTATO video\u2019s. I would like to formally state that <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cpotato loves all, even if some don\u2019t love it back.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ok, then!<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t already seen it, I made this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathalielawhead.com\/candybox\/interview-with-gerald-the-electric-love-potato\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cInterview With The Love Potato\u201d<\/a> some time ago. It may give you a laugh or two.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/133691422?title=0&#038;byline=0&#038;portrait=0\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n<p>On another non-potato note. I was deeply touched by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Poetry\/comments\/3f7oyw\/general_bluesuburbia_by_nathalie_lawhead_best\/\" target=\"_blank\">this Reddit comment on BlueSuburbia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nathalielawhead.com\/noodles\/bluesuburbia_reddit.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It means a lot to me to know that people still support this type of websites.<\/p>\n<p>I will continue to make them as long as there is Flash. I think the unfortunate thing about this entire conversation is that it is impossible to make something of the same quality, and caliber, as <a href=\"http:\/\/bluesuburbia.com\" target=\"_blank\">BlueSuburbia<\/a> in HTML. You lose so much in the transition to javascript, canvas (or whatever else I try), HTML\u2026 don\u2019t get me started with the argumentative details.<br \/>\nThe problem is that people have settled for so little with internet content (crazy websites are becoming less crazy).<br \/>\nNo one wants &#8220;more&#8221; anymore, so HTML is enough. It\u2019s difficult to bring this up without getting &#8220;shot down&#8221; by HTML enthusiasts right away (like, &#8220;learn X&#8221;). Thing is, I learned the &#8220;other stuff&#8221;. I tried the &#8220;other stuff&#8221;. I\u2019m constantly investigating the &#8220;other stuff&#8221;. I can&#8217;t make BlueSuburbia in HTML.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been fighting with this subject a lot. I&#8217;m not sure I even want to make stuff anymore once the ability to make this sort of website disappears.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know. Maybe I\u2019m being unrealistically doomsday. This is obviously a frustrated heartfelt rant. :)<\/p>\n<p>In other news\u2026 I\u2019m continuing with my work on <a href=\"http:\/\/tetrageddon.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tetrageddon Games<\/a>! Hope to have more update soon. It\u2019s been 100% nose to the grindstone.<br \/>\nOh, and&#8230; if you&#8217;re using OS X, you may <a href=\"http:\/\/alienmelon.itch.io\/loadsaver-os-x-screensaver\" target=\"_blank\">enjoy this stupid thing I made in Quartz Composer<\/a>.
