Again, I&#8217;m arguing a means to end&#8230;<br \/>\nBut why argue, language is poorly articulated intent.<br \/>\nThat familiar feeling of &#8220;I can&#8217;t do you anymore.&#8221;<br \/>\nCounting harm, peace is no charm, when you can&#8217;t feel it within,<br \/>\nBut wouldn&#8217;t quitting be a cowards sin?<br \/>\nHeroes pay for done and did.<br \/>\nStill, it&#8217;s sweet and relentless<br \/>\nLife, you&#8217;re harsh when remembered<br \/>\nNo. it&#8217;s not to you, but family for whom my heart is beating.<br \/>\nWary travelers proudly breathing, grow restless<br \/>\nA proclamation by the stubborn and relentless;<br \/>\n&#8220;There&#8217;s got to be more to all this than this mess!&#8221;<br \/>\nYet, it can be hard for those wearing a heart and soul<br \/>\nLife, overcast by a net of shadows, you feel cold<br \/>\nHere it&#8217;s easy to get tangled and old<br \/>\nBut holding a torch between lost and loosing control<br \/>\nA whiter shade of blue, strange sanity is always the uncertain hue<br \/>\nLove isn&#8217;t helpless, when I see them it&#8217;s ridiculous to go.<br \/>\nLife unselfish, what do we live for other than selfless love?<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s more than true, Life, it&#8217;s more than you!<br \/>\nSo why can&#8217;t you be more caring?<br \/>\nYour children cry and hurt.<br \/>\nMake believe vengeance by someone dumb and daring,<br \/>\nWhere is a god that I can point my finger at and curse?<br \/>\nGive me something to blame for all that festers and burns<br \/>\nA promise of after death revenge is a sweet feeling returned<br \/>\n&#8220;If god exists I&#8217;ll take it out on him, and you know it&#8217;s well earned!&#8221;<br \/>\nUnder impressions that there are not enough cheeks to turn, or flags to burn<br \/>\nBut I&#8217;m a fool to wave a fist at another fool that hides<br \/>\nIn heaven&#8217;s castles or in those on Earth<br \/>\nWhen I know what empowers both,<br \/>\nAnd, I know, it&#8217;s a senseless shame,<br \/>\nTo point fingers at all but more of the same<br \/>\nWhen we all act the similar way in an identical play.<br \/>\nThis stage is set with a question mark at the end<br \/>\nLife why can&#8217;t you be less selfish?<br \/>\nWhy are good people poor and needy,<br \/>\nAnd the rich so very greedy?<br \/>\nWhy are a few in control, and made in the image of the god to whom butchers pray?<br \/>\nA man who likes it submissive and his way.<br \/>\nBut life, growing pains make me feel I can&#8217;t handle another lesson,<br \/>\nAnd trying to understand you, I draw too many blanks.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a lacking expression,<br \/>\nWhere I recede into sublime regression.<br \/>\nFeeling dead, but before I feel any less true,<br \/>\nThere&#8217;s one thing that should be said;<br \/>\nMy heart beats for something greater than you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For Something Greater (Birthday Poem) &#8220;You&#8217;re over analyzing.&#8221; She firmly said&#8230; Keeping company of a long ago friend A debate with Life.
