Some of my work that ranges from Flash stuffs, interactives, animations, sites, to pimped out blogs (my current favourite).
A lot of the stuff I do involves quite a bit of coding so it’s not just pretty pictures and designs.
Flash:
Its my pet project. In short you could say its an animated interactive poetry novel. I write poems. I bring them to life by tediously animating them into a world that (in itself) is like a giant poem. They are largely interactive, so it’s like a reactive animation. Due to the gratuous ammount of coding, intelligence, and carefull planing driving it, it will intelligently react and in key areas remember your decisions and places you’ve been, conclusively “changing”. Its what I love working on when I can.
If you’re not up to getting lost in BlueSuburbia you can also peep the two BlueSuburbia trailers I made for when it was a finalist at the Flash Forward Film Festivals.

Possibly the first of it’s kind, I made Haiku Forge way back in 2003.
Its interactive haiku inspired by the tradition of haiga (haiku-style illustrations, often accompanying haiku), but instead of being only illustrated the haiku are brought to life via animations. These “snapshot like” animations follow the theme of being water-color like cold, grey, scenes, depicting black birds in flight, storms, and dark foggy forests. The site was featured in New Masters of Flash Vol. 3, as well as various other online publications.

Metal Shadows is a Flash site featuring my welded metal sculptures. The sculptures are exhibited through sequential photography. I used this method in a way to make the sculptures apear as if they where alive… giving the impression that they are walking, dancing, and twirling, dark things. It’s also an excelent way of showing the multiple angels of a sculpture; something you struggle with when using static photographs. The experience on the site is enhanced with a “scratchy old 8mm movie/film” effect. The end result is very eery and dreamy.

AlienMelon is mine and the teams portfolio plus madhouse. I put together and animated all of the main Flash site. It’s a place we’re continuously populating with our creative nonsense.

Pimped Out Blogs:
So here’s the deal. Many blogs are boring to look at. They remain completely unmodified, and thus uniform. Indistinguishable from one to the other. They don’t need to be like that. It’s not doing the platform justice. They are made to be extremely flexible and modifying them is more than possible, especially with platforms like WordPress. So what we do is pimp the hell outa ‘em!

DJLawhead.com is my brothers space. He was going to make it look plain and that woulda sucked. So we got together and co-designed it. I threw together the layout, and created the artwork, he wrote up the template and made it work.

This is the AlienMelon company glob. Its alive and has feelings. Me and my brother made this one to. Basically its an insane combination of random tiles and lots of random color giving it a completely different “look” everytime you visit a page.

The Glory of Carniola follows a basic three column layout spiced up by a dynamic picture slide show Flash banner, and a cute footer. Carniola is one of Slovenia’s most popular blogs dealing with anything Slovenia/Yugoslavia related. Its a crazy country. We… live there… at the moment… Srsly.
