Casual Observations… Virtual Reality, Religion and Science

At the market I asked a farmer how he gets his vegetables so strong and flavorful. He said that he gives them very little water and lets them struggle, because the most beautiful plants are the survivors. It occurred to me that the same applies to people.
I’ve never met someone who had an easy life that was rich on the inside… I suppose a person will accumulate on the outside to make up for what’s lacking on the inside.

I started haphazardly looking at the Bible… it’s alright. The Church killed Jesus, I think. By making something a religion you strip it of meaning. I get a feeling that this book is just a bread-crumb. That all religions are just bread-crumbs and people are getting caught up on the bread-crumbs instead of following them to the bigger picture. The bigger picture being themselves. By dictating belief and giving it a body of standards aren’t you forcing the believers to be uniform? …On the other hand we keep saying that everybody is different, unique and special. Am I missing something or is this double-speak? Everybody just wants to be happy but they’re torturing themselves with being normal.
I hypothesize that standardized religion strips belief of meaning, which strips an individual of any sense of value or pride because they can’t grow as individuals. This causes people to turn to materialism to fill what they think is missing in their life’s. This will never be satisfied as they are attempting to fill something that can not be filled by the material world.
The great dilemma is that the material world is the only world that is allowed to exist anymore. Any other dimensions to life are laughed at or considered superstitious “primitive thinking”. It is improper to question things in unconventional manners. Since when is questioning things conventional?

Most of the world that we live in is a virtual reality already; concrete buildings, fluorescent lighting, air conditioning. Are we real anymore? The real world is outside, in the forests, we spend most of our lives inside with house plants. Does that make me fiction?
Life and all good things like love cannot be sacred, or “real” if they’re a commodity.
Someone told me that we are living in the most advanced era ever. I pointed out that we’ve always been saying that, that young people are dying of illnesses old people used to get, and that obesity is our number one plague. If I came from the past I would laugh at the future. …Advanced isn’t exactly the word I would use. Maybe inefficient? Maybe there’s just too many project managers. I blame the meeting-minutes for this. I guess we might be living in the most informed era ever… but are we utilizing the information we are privy to? People still seem dumb to me. I’d expected more. I mean, what’s science being used for? We’ve come from striving to grow healthy cows, to cows that are sick, because you can make more cows that way, and more is better… At this point we are not even caring about what we are eating as long as we are eating something. Maybe I’m missing something. Maybe I think too much and should shop more… but I hate spending money because it’s so hard making it.
…shit.

I started a category for these < click there
...since I bitch about the world so much.

dawn is rising on a Saturday,
the day is flying from afar,
paupers of the region await for the sun’s ray,
await for the sun’s ray,
yoyoyoyoooy
to Belgrade, to Belgrade
by krstic bus, by krstic bus
people are ready to leave,
eager to set on a journey
but, seemingly, lacking luck,
lacking it, oh
yooyoyooooy
i was born miserable,
i’m singing of all my pain,
i wish, mother dear,
to have dreamt it all,
to have but dreamt it all
yoooyoyoyoooy
yooooyooooooooyoooy!
